OK, so, long story short, bought a unichip awhile back because i thought it was going to be what i needed. now, with lack of tuner, control, decent tuning or the ability to tune the parameters i want myself, im finding that i need a better option.
i know my options are pretty much:
s.s. afc (possibility, lacking all controls i want)
microtech (way too $$)
aem (again way too much $$)
and
MPI
now the MPI sounds good and ive heard of recent editions that include timing control, but unfortunatly i've searched and cannot find a recent post on anything about the MPI status, vendors, updates, prices....etc, anything i would need to know, and since it seems like the MSP EMS solutions are staying the same but im having trouble finding them or anything about them in terms of just product specs (i found the 'main' page but its a little too cut and dry for me and there have been bickering on the board of which is easier and blah blah) i'd just like the see for myself, from the manufacturer.
I dunno if they are even made anymore...haha.
so if anyone can point me in the direction of recent EMS solutions or know more about the s.s. AFC or MPI please let me know,
ideally i want to be able to control my boost, timing, and fuel maps.
thanx

Contact Dana @ speedcircuit ... he is the MPI man around the forum ...

yes, talk to Dana aka "Kooldino" here on the forums about getting one, his tuning is good as well. Also talk to Jeff aka "mspHtown" about it.. he has a wealth of knowledge with the MPI and has had quite the experience with it. He will shoot you straight on what to do and what's good vs. not good. hope this helps -- im considering the same as you switching from unichip to MPI.

Cool cool, thanks for the pointers guys. I'll get cracking on it as the factory ecu isnt compernsating too well for the cold weather+cai+turboback

I'll echo what's been said...kooldino/speedcircuit is a sound solution. parts, install, tuning, he does it all. what makes him stand out is he lets you stick around during the labor, if anything he encourages it. he's a wealth of knowledge and you learn a lot.

his mpi/smt6 system controls timing and fuel while having the car run super smooth.
