Hey guys i was wondering if anybody has install the GHL turbo back and changed the exhaust manifold at the same time. Im debating on doing both while im dismantling those parts. Will there be an dramatic increase in power or should I be looking for changing the I\C and adding more boost. On another note i will be changing my rear motor mount with the AWR one.

the manifold, if you can find one, will not give you noticable (maybe a little) power... a GHL will give you power and give you room for more boost..
but in my opinion, the real thing relies on if you keep the stock cats or if you put a catless midpipe.. thats where the magic begins..
i heard people say you get less of a performance upgrade with the stock cats and a GHL than removing the cats altogether.. i cannot say if that is 100% true.. as i never experienced a ghl exaust.. but i do have a catless mid pipe and it works VERY good.
im sure poeple will drop in and give ya a hand. ;)
ps: in quebec you dont have any emission test so no cats works

SO what your saying is that the exhaust manifold isnt a must for good power gains compared to the exhaust? And Im getting the whole exhaut with there high flow cat from GHL

Out of everything you mentioned I would save the mani for last. The exhaust was the most noticable difference in power mod I have done so far. After exhaust I would go ahead and do your IC which also is a nice noticable gain in power.

the reason people change exhaust manifolds is due to crackin of the stocker.
so if you have no cracks, then i would say leave it.
cats do hinder performance, but they are good for the enviornment, so if you dont have laws enforcing them, its your choice.

no cats = best 200$ spent
SMIC = best next mod to do
open up the intake and exaust and your on the road to better whp.
i did those 2 mods and i can tell you that the car is totally diffrent now..

check the dyno section, someone posted it a long time ago.

i would also suggest a 626 mani. one of the best mods i have yet!

Uhm, where are you guys getting that the gains are little from a manifold? Haven't been around much over the past year so it is an honest question.
I saw big gains from going with a quality tube, but I already had a lot of other things done at that point.
