gutting out the stock downpipe on MS3??

has anyone done this before?? are the gains similar to an aftermarket DP?? also what are all the downpipes available for the MS3, ive only seen that cpe one thats really expensive $550!! are there any others that cost less???

You can get the corksport downpipe.. its 350, but it doesnt include the midsection like the cpe one does.

protegegarage has it for 350, unless they changed it within the past few days.

I havent heard of anyone gutting the cat on the stock downpipe.. I don't think it would be anywhere near as good as a replacement.. gutting anything isnt as good as a replacement.
