View Full Version : Replacing Side Markers

I just got some new side markers for my 07 MS3, but I have no clue how to go about removing the old ones. Can anyone help me out? I'm thinking I have to remove the covers around my wheels, but it seems impossible without taking the wheels off too. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Piece of cake. I did mine months ago.. Grab the side marker.. The rear of the marker closest to the mirror/door area is where it will pop out. Just grab a hold of the sucker and pull, grabbing more towards the back. It will begin to pop out. Grab the rear piece as its popping out with your fingernail and it will come out. You could use a rag and a flathead screwdriver to help if you dont have any nails.

do you have to buy whole new side markers or just get new bulbs for it? if it's just bulbs, are they available at any auto parts store?

You have to replace the entire light. I got LED sidemarkers on mine.

I bought new side markers. The new ones are blacked out. I'm sure I couldve taken my OEM ones and gotten them blacked out, but I just figured this was easier.

I replaced my side markers, yesterday, i like them alot, i got the Black side markers

LOL, my factory marker is upside down on the right side! My OCD is kicking in, I need to fix this.
