is it vics or vtcs? if i want to switch to an msp ecu, can i just get the valves and plug them in?

MP3 does not have VTCS.

second that on the VTCS. The VICS is inside the lower portion of the IM while the VTCS is in the top part (an inch away from the cylinder head).
You wouldn't be able to to just put in the valves since you you would need to drill into the IM to get the whole assembly in. I can't find the How-to I'm looking for which would illustrate that fact, but let's just say it would be a LOT easier to just buy a regular 3rd gen IM and make your money back (and then some) by selling your VTCS-less MP3 IM.

from how i have been reading, it is just a sensor that i would have to hook up...not the whole vtcs assembly...could be wrong though...anybody else care to chime in?
