engine "click"

I just got a 2008 automatic 2.3L mazda 3. And after my car has been resting for awhile. As i turn it on then accelerate, the engine seems to "click" right before 2nd gear.. is that normal? or should i bring it to the dealer?

no. i usually turn off my AC before i turn off my engine... but next time I'll take notice to that. Thanks for the post though. If you might think its anything else please let me know.

Yea...I get the same thing when I put my MS3 in reverse in the morning.

The first thing I hear is a "click." It does sound like the A/C click but it's more sharp. And no...it's not the A/C on.
