View Full Version : Guestion about atp fcd

I ordered a mbc and the fcd but Im still waiting on the MBC.I installed the fcd since I have no idea when the mbc will be here.Anyways I did some searching and cant really find a answer,What does the ATP FCD do or should I say how does it work?It says it bleeds off air at 15.6psi and thats all I know.Thanks..Shark

it kinda works the same as the mbc. it will allow up to15.6 psi(stock boost level) to enter the map sensor. any boost you produce OVER the 15.6 psi limit will be bled off to the atmosphere. the ecu will think you are running stock boost levels because it never sees the extra. the MBC does the same thing (some bleed out boost and some use a ball & spring restriction) the MBC hides boost from the wastegate. the wastegate opening later is what allows you to run more boost.

Hey Shark, I thought you had your boost cut defender already - you mean you STILL don't?? It was about 2 weeks ago, right, that we were talking about it and you were anticipating... So who do I NOT order the combo from if I go that route?

I know '*************.com' has the BCD.

Ya I ordered it on the 3rd.The wait for the FCD was not that bad but the MBC hasent even been shipped yet as far as I know.Im not going to say who it is yet because they are a vendor here and they are suppose to get something in the mail this week I was told by the owner.If I dont hear anything by Sat. then I will let you all know who NOT to order from.

if you ordered the FORGE MBC, it was a brand new item and not yet in stock.
so that is where the wait came from. believe me it is not the place you ordered from playing with you. they cant ship what they dont have themselves !
