What is wrong with the chrome look? Work XT-7's in the chrome finish and 18's is what I would go with.

Chrome isn't that bad, I think it actually looks good on thin spoked wheels only. Thin spokes lessen the bling, but all that other crap out there is trash.

i just think that chrome is trash, to each his own and if you like then i think that is great, you are certainly entited to your opinion.

but to me chrome is just less than classy, especially on an MSP. An MSP is not a sit still show car, its not a SUV, or a luxury vehicle. Certainly you dont see too many rappers cruising in them selling dope either.

My main point is that the MSP's style is based on it being a driver's car. It's built to be quick, agile, and ride on rails. Its rims should reflect this, hence why the stocker racing harts look so good. Basically the best looking rims out there exemplify the spirit of this car and those are generally thin spoked race inspired wheels.

Chrome look and Chrome rims are different. My RPO3's weigh less than the stock Racing Harts. I don't like most chrome style wheels either but your rims should stand out and be an eye catcher.

I agree, mine are less than stocks too but you can't just go out and put any old wheel on your car (chrome or not). It took my forever to find the wheels I have now. I love them and that's all that really matters. There are some ugly non-chrome wheels out there too.

I don't mean to thread jack, I personally think black with polished lip is overdone more than any style wheel out there so don't knock the chrome. It all depends on if you know what you're doing when it comes to picking the right wheel because most people don't.

BTW, not all rappers are associated with chrome.

Ah, that makes more sense. It isn't chrome though, its SS, its a lip Petrol came up with. I don't think they are light though...

I love most ADVANS, ADR's, Volk's, Ray's, and SSR's for their light weight, but those Petrol 5 stars would be something else on a silver speed 3..

The Advan's are kind of boring, but then they won't take away from the rest of the car. Bronze/Gold/Whatever color they want to call it, is definitely a good color for the yellow MSP.

I hate to say it, but in that neighborhood, chrome is typically reserved for people who do little to their cars -- other than jack it up on some preposterously flashy wheels. When I think of chrome wheels, I think of exactly what HE thinks of: overweight cars/trucks with overweight wheels. Gangsta-wannabes. It's unfortunate, but it's true.

So each their own with their wheels, and with their cars in general. But if you look at the vast majority of true tuner cars out there, you won't see an overwhelming population of heavy chrome wheels. Will you see a lot of polished lips? Damn straight you will. But that is NOT the same as a chrome wheel.

.. Then again, I don't like gold wheels, either. So my post in this thread is generally worthless, LOL.

those wheels are not chrome. those are silver/alloy centers with a polished lip. look closely and the center is more flat than the lip.

The advans on your car in the picture looks great but better on the red P5 imo.

I've always loved the Advan Kreuzer Series V wheel. It is a classic thin five spoke design that comes in either silver metallic(which I think would look best on your speed) gunmetallic, or bronze.

the silver metallic works great against a yellow paint scheme!

one of my favorite wheels is the BBS LM. Pure F1 style and class, lightweight and forged. If I had the money , I would sell my rota's and buy a set of these. I know you mostly see these wheels on german cars but I could give a shit, there badass hehe.
