Just got a "random misfire" CEL at just 911 miles. Engine was already warmed up plenty, went on boost and the CEL came on. They are keeping the car overnight. Anyone else gotten this? I did a search, but came back with nothing for the MS3 on this issue.

I had a CEL when I brought my car in for the motor mount recall and they told me it was an engine misfire. They said not to worry about it...although the service guys told me it was because of a 'cold start' not because of boosting.

Well, at 25k miles, my CEL just came on. I'm not sure why though. Hopefully it's nothing serious. I'm going to have them take a look at it when I take it in for the emissions recall on Friday.

i bet i know what it is. did you happen to wash your car anytime soon before that? do you have a cold air intake? when i wash my car, water gets on the filter and you have to drive around a while while the water evaporates before you boost or the water will get sucked up and cause a CEL. not a big deal, it will go off in a few days.

also, it could be a combination of the water/filter and a cold start... although, everytime i boost i wait until my car is pretty warm. so i don't know...

never heard of that... I think you might have something wrong there buddy... I have also had a a P0300. It is due to a cold start. Don't worry about it. The next emissions recall should take care of this.
