View Full Version : Any body change atf tranny filter yet?

i have an 04 mzd3 2.3L na
i want to service my tranny iv got 44k on the car and its never been done i was curious if anybody has changed there filter and fluid ? Was this difficult i would think not? What tranny fluid did you use all and any advice would be helpful thank you in advance Brian.

lol... really nobody must need or want to service the atf tranny filter.....

does nobody even care about the at tranny or do all of you guys drive 6spds i need some help guys....i guess it seems like im gonna be on my own with this one i will have to do it myself i guess that will be a saturday project for me i guess

Try posting this question in the regular Mazda 3 forums...this is the Speed 3 forums, and they only come with a manual tranny. I hope nobody is putting ATF fluid in their MS3 gearbox!

Im sorry Carl but i thought the headline says mazda3 and mazdaspeed3 correct me if im wrong so i think im in the right place! there is not a desiganted for the regular mazda3 this is the forums for the 3 and speed3 buddy.

bite your tounge sir! Just because there are tons of ms3 people joining up here lately doesnt mean we care any less about our m3 bretheren!

as for the AT filter change... have you flushed the fluid out of it yet? At 44k miles I wouldnt be trying to change the filter unless the fluid comes out extremely dirty (aka current filter is not doing its job)
