have you done anything with the battery lately? if so push and hold down the button of the window that wont work for a couple secs.

when the battery gets disconnected and stuff, the windows wont automatically go down

i had trouble with the key once too and i just unhooked the battery and let everything reset and hooked it back up about an hour later.. i was at work and the car thought it was locked when it wasent because i used the window function on the key.. i dunno it got confused i guess...

go to each door and reprogram the windows by pressing the switch so the window goes and, and hold the switch down for a few seconds longer. You'll feel it click.
You have to do it with EACH door though. You can't do all the windows from the drivers side door.

I was having this issue for a couple of days until they started to work lately. I didnt know why until i read this thread and remembered I ran out of battery the other day. My locking mechanism is also hesitating a lot. I might have to reset the stupid battery/ecu/whatever I have to reset.

This happened to me about a week ago as well. Only my driver side window would not go down automatically. Yesterday it just started working again for no reason. I don't remember holding down the switch for any extended time, so I am concerned. Possible electrical bug???

All I did when I had this issue was drive it up to Mazda and the guy fixed it for me! They just do the roll down the window and hold the button or something.. its not a big deal.. it even has it in the owners manual on how to fix it.

...if it was in the owner's manual....can I ask why you went to a dealership?? Most issues can be resolved by looking in your owners manual..more people need to start using it.

Answer:
Push the window button down all the way and continue to hold the button down for 2 seconds after the window is fully down.
Pull the window button up all the way and continue to hold the button up for 2 seconds after the window is fully up.
Push the window button down all the way and continue to hold the button down for 2 seconds after the window is fully down.
Repeat for each window using the button on the door for that window (won't work with driver's buttons).

You will have to do this every time you disconnect the battery for an extended period or you disconnect the window button wiring harness.
