When I had my 03 Mustang GT I had an aftermarket Tri-Ax short shifter and it had offset pre-loaded springs so you would hit third gear everytime when up shifting. Does anyone know if the short shifter from TWM for the MS3 feature anything like that? Does anyone else make a short shifter for the MS3?

nothing like that it works the same as the stock shifter just shorter more percise throws

Thanks, maybe I'll wait until someone else comes out with a shifter hopefully with a feature like the Tri-ax. I have the bushings now and it tightens it up somewhat.

nver seen a design like what you mentioned, but cobb is coming out with and adjustable STS to ajust height and throw

Thats what I'm waiting on.... I know they already scrapped the design that was close to production because they felt they could do better and would rather wait and release a superior product

The Tri-ax shifter on my Mustang was great because you couldn't miss a shift with the design it had.

I'm a new Speed3 owner and I'm coming from the Cobra/Lightning world. The shifters that we had for our Mustangs were great, whether it was the Tri Ax or B&M or Pro 5.0. You would never miss 3rd if you tried and the whole unit was replaced, not just the handle. The handle itself was shorter, but the whole base unit was modified.

I checked out the TWM unit for the Speed3 and it doesn't look like it does much of anything.

congrats on the transition!!

I'm waiting for the cobb STS, supposed to have adjustable throw as well as height adjustment. As far as comparison to a mustang kit, someone else would be better qualified to comment
