I can modify the kit to meet the hoodline. Actually, its the same template I did on an early model 3. I thought it was kinda weird that it doesn't line up on the Mazda 3Speeds. Any explanation?

Bluebatmobile ships fast and seems like a great dude. I was pleased with the transaction. One thing to note, the true red has gold metal flake in it. From a distance it's passable. Up close it was not IMO. I peeled them as soon as I had applied them. In a shaded area like a garage or car port, it looks good. When the sun hits it, the lighten dramatically to almost a spicy orange color.

The fit, cut, and application of them went without a hitch though. i wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again barring the color issue.

double version is a black layer underneath so light doesnt pass through the headlight lid overlay at night :). Only $5 extra ;).

just a thought.... but if you know the tint percentage, you may want to hold a piece of tint over the headlight and check it yourself. Esp since the chances of finding someone with the same color temp headlights and the same overlays are slim-to-none

I tinted one of the headlights on my wife's car to see what it would look like. The driver's side is tinted while the other is not. She's running Apexcone 55w 6000k HIDs. I used 20% tint and it looks pretty sweet and helps with the light diffusion.

so you would say that it has no negative impact on the HIDs light output?

The HID light output wasn't as strong but still plenty bright so I wouldn't call the impact negative. Tinting HID lights is somewhat counterproductive since the benefit of HIDs is brighter light. The reason I wanted to try this was because I installed an HID kit on a car that doesn't appear to have HID projectors and there was too much light diffusion. The tint blocked much of that while the beam stayed relatively strong.

you should make a roof vynil like you do for the 350z... There are a bunch of us about to throw down $600 for a real CF overlay, but if you could come up with just a simple flat or gloss black roof overlay, Im sure alot of people will jump on it..(mj)
