Just wondering if anyone had a tried and tested method for cleaning the top mount. I have the ets and live on a very dusty road, need to clean both that and my cai filter probly every 6 months or so. Thanks for any helpfull replies in advance.

Water hose and mild detergent in a sprayer. don;t worry about the electronics underneeath it won't affect them

you can always remove the IC and use water and detergent from the backside that would also allow you to clean the inside. no high pressure water.

I have heard otherwise. Might want to have a look at this thread http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123682524
Not sure how many have had the same problem but sounds like pooling can happen and cause some problems.

Ok i dunno i washed several engines like this. though sometimes i'll let the engine run while rinsing. Keep it away from the intake and you'll be fine. I also wouldn't use alot of pressure.
Water gets in the engine bay anyways from the ducting to the IC. Doesn't seem to bother it while in the rain driving.
