Tinted with "transparent black hobby paint", its made for tinting the windows on model cars... kinda cool...

i also just did the 3rd brake light, i was looking at the pictures and noticed it stuck out like a sore thumb...

I've also used this stuff called "night shade" it's the same type of paint but made for outdoor "offroad" use on cars. It's about $10 from any performance shop but they'll probaly have to order it.

yea, its probably the same stuff... just a clearcoat with a shade of black...

you can get that stuff on ebay but it ends up bein $15, when this was only $5...

how do you take the reflectors off ? never really bent down to look and see

the side ones pop out from the inside, just crawl under and pop them out...

the rear facing ones are screwed in, the problem is, the bumper suppor blocks the screws access, so you have to take out the bumper... to take out the bumper, you have to take out the taillights...

its not a bad project, but it is more time consuming than you might expect... taking off the bumper the first time isnt hard, but you'll leave a few screws holding something on...

the next time would be easy...

Instead of taking off the rear bumper, you probably could of just blue-taped a good surrounding area around the reflectors. Thats what I did when I sprayed my Fogs yellow.

eh, id rather take the extra 15 minutes to take the bumper off than spend 15 minutes taping stuff off enough to not have to worry about overspray...

i dunno about the transparent paint, but im sure a clearcoat could solve any problems with that....

That looks amazing! I was thinking of going all frosted clear on mine, i saw them on e-bay... but the dark looks much more mysterious!

i used a can of night shade on mine and the reflectors still work, you can get a can of nightshade at oreilly
