i need to replace my spark plug wires.....and i have read different opinions alot on this board and have not come up with a consistant answer.

what i wanna know is.....should i stick with stock spark plug wires....or go with aftermarket wires?

i am NA and have CAI and full exhaust work done....from Header back...

i was just wanting to know which would be better to go with...

stock or aftermarket....

anyone know of any websites i can pick them (wires) up from.

post the websites if you know any.

thanks

Get stock wires. They will work just as well as any of the aftermarket "performance" wires. The only reason to buy the performance wires is if you're making a ton of power and the plugs, plug wires and coils are limiting the amount of spark. And by a ton I mean 500 HP.

When I went to change my wires, I found it nearly impossible to get aftermarket wires, Mazda seems to there own strange design. I just bought them from Mazda. Wasn't ridiculously expensive.

Cheers,

James

dude just get stockers. they are fine and aftermarket wires are just the Two wires that dont have connector attached right at the plug almost. Biggest waste of 100 bucks to go aftermarket there. You will feel NO gain from aftermarket.

Had 10mm magnecor wires when coils were 2.0 - they were not better, they were not worse, they were about the same price as oem........they were just different & blue. Once I got MSP valve cover/engine cover then blue didn't matter anymore. That's my wire story...........OEM, unless you do the 1.8 coil swap then a nice set of NGKs are the ticket, but that's a different story.

NGK's = OEM, but the NGK's are less expensive

so buying those wires in the link above...would be like buying stock ones from Mazda?

Buy the damn oem wires or anything else that will work. They are just wires! You have a coil on plug application anyhow so the wires are not carrying massive power, they are just feeding the coil.
If you like pretty colors, get some with colors...
