The most common engine swap would involve a KL series engine, and that's only been completed 2 or 3 times. It's common, however, to install a turbo system from the Mazdaspeed Protege as the long block is identical.

Off the top of my head....FS-ZE and IIRC there is a guy in Canada that can swap in the V-6 from the MX-6.

Not the entire engine, only the turbo and all related components. I think there are a couple of turbo set-ups in the f/s section now. With this though you would want to keep boost around 6-7psi as I have read that the internals of our engine are weak and 'constant' boosting at higher psi numbers leads to blown engines. You could always go forged later.

**edit** If you look into "going to the dark side" check this section out first....a lot of good info to be found here on the pros/cons and what to do/what not to do.

There are no "common" engine swaps for our car. A few, meaning no more than 6, people have had the kl swap done be a shop in canada. Search V6 swap if you want more information on that. I think one or two people have tried to swap in the j-spec engine but it wont produce any significant gains without the japanese computer which is near impossible to get and install here.

The only common option is to install a turbo kit from the MSP. Both cars use the same block and internals, maybe a different exhaust cam iirc. You just get a turbo kit off a wreck or you used to be able to buy it from the dealer and install that on your P5.
