well, I put the new cam in a couple weeks ago and after spending about 3hours getting the timming correct I defentaly felt a world of difference. Not the same difference I was expecting though, since I've lost a great deal of low-end torque and have only gained what feels like marginal power in the high band

Has anyone tried using this I-cam with the 1.8L? I do know that the exhaust cam is different in the 1.8 and 2.0L. I'm thinking of acutaly just switching back to the old cam it's so bad... my 0-60 time didn't improve (nor get any worse though) and my top speed isn't any better/worse, so as far as I can tell it's just moved the power to a different point the in RPM band instead of increasing HP.

any thoughts are appreciated.

going to try to get in a dyno run before I switch, just to see what it's putting down.

the cams aren't beneficial on a 1.8

are they beneficial for a 1.6?

if you can get it to even fit the 1.6, the intake cam alone will give you like 8,960,150 extra horse power

also a cam cant affect your top speed, its all in the gear ratio

sure it can, if a different cam gives you more HP, the engine is going to be able to rotate the gear faster.
