She turned 3 weeks old yesterday. It has been a fun 3 weeks. Considering this is my first car with a turbo, boost is addicting and I am a junkie.

gotta disagree with you there...

the moldings help to break up the otherwise endless vertical slabs of door the car has

that, and they might save your doors from dings

I agree and disagree with this statement. The car sits low on top of that, the moldings are lower on the door...at least they look that way.

I'm with you. I removed mine and the car looks "different". I can't say it's better or worse, just different.

Are the on there with double sided tape? If so, I might remove them.

It would make the doors easier to wax.

Off topic; BSTD3 nice wheels.

i disagree opn saving the doors. i found a chip small hard to see but in the drivers door handle. lol

there i feel is enough curvature int he side that the moulding actually make it look ore busy! to me that is.
(but i also knwo everyone had diffrent opinoins)

but car looks good reminds me fo yeah my driveway

god job on the car and be carefule boost junkie! lol

I think removal of side-moldings is an acquired taste. From the pictures I've seen of people's ms3s, some look "improved" compared to stock. It makes the car look like a mini-lexus suv (for me), though. And I don't like lexus or suvs. (dunno)

Nice color Kurt07. I think it's the best of the four. I think that removal of the door moldings looks good on the black with black wheels only. It helps break up the huge door panels on the other colors. Just my opinion though.

It would have been nice if Mazda would have continued with the bright blue they had on the 07's

Congrats on the sweet ride, looks like mine :).

I removed my moldings, I was torn on it I wanted to or not. The pics I saw didn't look that much better, but in person I like it when I saw it. It makes it look more like a newer designed car, like an Acura, or Lexus.

Here's how mine looks:

Oh, I just got my first door ding! But I know exactly how it happened, its from an SUV, so its WAY above my door moldings, around the door handle. Worst part of all, its only because this b*tch manager at a crappy hotel I was in made me move my car over 1 foot because I parked on the line into an empty area (no reason for me to need to move it).

Have fun with your car, I still look forward driving mine all the time.
