just wondering in the kinds of races.... cicuit race, freeway race, and a Point A to point B(meaning street race).

so my buddy and i were debating whose car was better...he was saying that my msp cant hang with AWDs so here is a list of my mods and his mods....


MSP
Suspension:
CP Racing 4 point Strut Bar, Tein S-tech, Tociko HPs, Front and Rear Slotted Stop Tech rotors w/Hawk HPS pads, GTspec Rear Trail links

Engine:
Injen CAI, 3" Cat-Back, NGK iridium spark plugs

i dont know if it really matters but i have Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs and a XC CF hood


02 Subie WRX
Suspnsion: Eibach

Engine:Up and Down pipe, HKS cat-back, and fuel regulator

and TOYO proxes and a ViS CF Hood....

plz tell me who would win and why....also given that both of us are the same skill level of driving

what kind of race i would prolly put my money on the wrx since they are faster from the get go but i have drove both cars a 05 wrx 02 wrx and my 03 msp and the wrx were faster, but i dont know so...

Handling - I would have to say the MSP with your mods.

what would it take for a msp to beat a wrx? in a line. from a 40 roll

Probably with my mods, turn up the boost to 10 psi, AFC or Unichip and get tuned.

dude i destroyed a 04 wrx from a roll by 5 or more cars it was no competition

mods at the time were fmic, 3" j pipe back, dsm afc, and a mbc at 9 psi he looked to be stock but im sure i could take your friends wrx too =)

Probably can beat him from a roll. He ran a 13.3 @100 with a 1.8 60 ft. with just a downpipe last year. Since then, he's gone through 2 trannies. Now he fixed his boost cut problem and is boosting 17 psi with his new Accessport. Still wished he still had his Civic Hatch. It was quick with just a stock LS and cams. With that, he did a 14.4.

ehh it felt slow to me then its pullin alot better now that im changing out to 4 ply couplers and t bolt and gettin rid of my ghetto setup

i wasnt talking about the 04s i was talking about the 02s....the bug eye ones...they only got about 190 to the wheels....and their hella heavy!!!

Hmm...... get a midpipe and an intercooler with an AFC or Unichip. Then you'll win in both areas.

yea wrx's are beatable from a roll with just a few strategic mods. From a dig, i have to give it to them just about every time. AWD > FWd :(

that's on sam's 1st aggressive map ~10psi i think. it's a nice map, that's what we started with on my car.

fmic, catless vibrant 3", intake, tune... maybe a few other goodies. that was a long time ago though, much has been done since then including a fully built engine.
