I just took out my stock enclosure. The original owner took the stock amp out and so now I'm getting a new one. But I don't see any stray wires or such that used to connect to the amp. I've posted a couple pics below, maybe you guys know, thanks!

Also, I'm looking for an amp that fits my stock enclosure. If you have a stock amp or if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

those are not the wires for the amp. i dont suggest using the stock ones anyways, they are like 12 guage wires. way to small. if he took the amp, his cheap ass prob took the wires too. are you wanting to keep the stock set-up or are you going with other speakers?

I see. Thanks for the help. I'm upgrading the amp and sub but I want to keep the stock enclosure. I got the JL 8W3, but still looking for an amp. If you guys have any suggestions that fit the stock enclosure, I'd appreciate it! Thanks again

i would totally ditch the stock enclosure... hearing that and some of the other MSPs with actuall MDF boxes SOUND SO MUCH BETTER (even with the same stock kenwood 8" sub). I think the stocker rattles and isnt exactly air tight. But if you are determined to keep the stock enclosure maybe get the clarion subs that are shallow mount or even the blaupunkt shallowmount subs... just some thoughts...

do you already have an amp??? I just got a new sub/box combo. i went with a JBL GTO 12" and a sealed box. very simple and its such a nice combo! and the box and box only cost me $115 shipped to my door. i use a kicker zx 700.5 channel amp to power my highs, mids, and subs. check my my thred on the audio forum.

Daedalus put an Alpine in the stock location by drilling new holes, do a search for his build thread. I'm pretty sure it was him.

Edit: Found it, scroll down a little.

Ok another question: The stock wiring between the AMP and the SUB is stuck in there. And I will probably need it longer than that to connect the amp and the sub. So...what do I do? Also, if I'm gonna be using 8 gauge amp wiring, should the wiring between the amp and sub be switched to 8 gauge also? Thanks alot!

im assuming your talking about the speaker wire? if so i would go get new thicker wire. the stocker wires are cheap, believe me. for the 8 guage wire its best for you to probibly just get a kit. they usually come with everything you need. get a amp block with a tubed fuse, NOT AN INLINE. and just re-do all the wiring with that. you'll be very pleased with the up grade. the msp has a mean rattle like to midgets in the trunk fighting to get out. dyno-mat is a great dampener and improves the sound quality. the wing rattles a little but nothing some rubber gromets cant fix. (hear ya)

Yeh thats what I'm planning on getting. But the stock wire is like glued in there or something. It doesn't come out...I don't know if I should just drill a new hole because then it won't be sealed any longer...

well im getting ready to do mine soon but im lookin at 4 guage dut to a heafty system. when i did my show truck i drilled a hole through the fire wall a little bigger then the wire. as far as leaking or cutting the wire from the metal from the wall, i went to advanced auto and got a rubber gromet and it workin perfect. no leaking. as far as getting the wire out, i dont know, i think it would be more of a pain in the ass then just leaving it in there. youd have to lift all the carpet and undo alot of stuff. leave it. ill post pics when i do mine. prob mon-tuesdayish.
