Burn marks on coil pack

I saw some burn marks on my Zm-DE coil packs.Will this cause my missfiring problem when I driving up a hill.Some Help Please.

is it on the coil itself or on the rubber boot under the coil that goes down to the spark plug? If it's on the boot, check to make sure there are no holes or rips in that boot, if there is then it will arc onto the side of the hole in the block and cause a nasty mis-fire. If you think thats the problem, then wrap the boot in electrical tape a few times, and test it out. If this solved the misfiring, then go to a junk yard and look for another 1.6l and take the coil boot from that or post around. The 2.0L coil boot will not work, its plastic for the most part making it better, but it is too long. If the burn marks are not on the boot and are on the coil itself, sound to me the coil is gone, so look forward to buying a new one(or once again taking one out of a junkyard).
