Well I just bought and installed and Injen CAI and I love it. Only problem is the thing is loud as hell. I was wondering since right now the part of my intake/intercooler setup that is hardpipes is the actual intake, would buying intercooler hardpipes tone down how loud my intake sounds ? I spent most of the night searching the boards for an answer but couldn't find one.

I don't recall any noise reduction from my Injen when I installed my hardpipes. But then again a blow off valve was on the hardpipes and I may have been to busy listening to it to notice. Why would you want to tone down the beautiful sound of much more air being sucked in?

oh it's defnitely got a lot of sucking/whooshing sound to it. No way to tone that down, unless you have something other than metal piping.

You'll either get used to it or take it off. It did sound sort of like a vac on steriods when I first put mine on when its sucking in the air.

I think I just need to finish off the rest of the piping and get a decent BoV. The sound doesn't really bother me that much it is just much louder then I thought it would be.
