View Full Version : Engine ID Marks on Cams??

Anyone know if these are supposed to have the engine marks on both? Just bought some and the exhaust cam has the engine identification mark scraped off.. wasn't sure if it's to balance it, or what. Thanks.

What do you mean? Like labeled for intake and exhaust? Yea, they're supposed to have those..

YOu bought the SRM cams. The intake cam should have the FSH9 part number on it, with the IN marking. The exhaust cam is exactly the same but they re-pin it. So to avoid confusion, they grind off the markings.

No problemo! Make sure you check the valve clearances and order your shims before you get to far into it.
