Hey guys, I'm having an interesting electrical problem. Apparently somehow my stereo is connected to the fuse for my interior lights. Today I discovered this when my stereo stopped, door light didn't come on as I openned the door after that, next was that my remote lock wouldn't work. After replacing the burnt fuse labeled "interior lights, trunk light, baggage light" everything started working fine. When it went again, two minutes later, I pulled out the stereo. One wire had come loose of the electrical tape and was free floating. Thinking "this must be the problem", tape up the blue wire and reinstall new fuse. Great! Wonderous, until ten minutes later when it blows the fuse again. Again, no stereo, no interior lights, no remote locks. Fed up with this foolishness the stereo faceplate is thrown into my purse and fuse replaced. Haven't lost lights since. And no, all wires are still intact, so it didn't come loose again.

So

Ideas??

it seems like your cicuit is overloaded, that's why it doesn't blow right away...take the radio off and put it on another circuit...you should be good to go, make sure you fuse it!!

Well to make things even more weird, it stopped blowing the fuse. I disconnected the stereo and was going out to buy a new one. Then my bf suggested we reconnect it and see how long it took to blow the fuse again. It's been four days and hasn't done it since. I think I ran over the gremlin that was in the car
