So recently, when I run my A/C, my car starts to act strange. The idle starts to hop from around 300 rpms to as high as 1k, and back a few times. If I poke the throttle it'll even out eventually. Also at low rpms, i have to really slip the clutch to get it to move in some situations. It'll bog way down, then once it gets above 1k rpms it'll come back to life like nothing was wrong.

Do you think the compressor is creating too much resistance? Like its too hard to pull teh belt around the pulley or something? Or should I realize I have an anemic 1.6L and that running the A/C is just something thats gonna tax my engine too much.

A few things to note, I have created my own urethane motor mounts (front and rear) so vibrations during these problems are pretty intense (nothing super serious, but its worse than normal). I also replace both belts less than a year ago.

Thx in advance
Matt
