yeah thats what i was thinking but i read they can scan your ecu and they know anyway if youve done plug and play. hows your oil porblem i read your thread did you wipe your oil stick clean and dip it to get a accurate reading?

they cant, the stock ecu sends out a signal and the piggyback jstu changes the signal before it gets to the engine. nothing changes on the stock ecu. jstu make sure u ahve everythign plugged in right

sounds like the plug and play may be the way to go, if it really is undetectable

I always take the stick out and wipe it before I check the level. Is there people that dont?I didnt know.
My car is in the shop now for the motor mount recall,I took it in on Tues..They are suppose to check into the oil problem.I havent heard anything yet from them so I dont know what is going on.I will assume that I will get the car back and they will say that the problem with the oil is fine.

clos561 is right..It is undetectable. It seems like a good way to go.

I thought it worked backwards to that.. I.E. the piggyback ecu intercepts the signals coming from the sensors and feeds modified signals to the main ECU.

yeah bro but like i said before i thought the same thing.... it is much better with the 3rd gone and all my freinds who have heard it in person agree. you really cant get the jist of it unless its in person

this is more correct. sensors feed signals to the XEDE which then sends altered signals to the ECU.

I have had an xede for about 8 months. No problems only more power and a little better mpg.

Still awaiting the plug and play option... Anyone have any time frame?

i thought the piggy back intercepted signals from ecu and changed them...wouldnt what you jsut stated be detected? since the ecu recieves signals from the piggy back...it would record the "altered" signals

I think it does both.
It must change the inputs to the ECU. It must also make changes to signals coming from the ECU.
