Hi ,
I have a Mazda protege 96 model and recently I went for a state inspection . Kwik car guys gave me the code P0300 and I got that fixed at firestone . Now when I again took the car for state inspection they told me that the code P1195 is coming now . I surfed over the net for these codes and got to know about them.
My question is : Is there any chance that these codes are interelated ? Like while working on the code P0300 firestone guys might accidently induced the code P1195 which relates to the EGR valve.
Another question is if these codes were originally present in the car then during state inspection why 1195 didn't come up ? Is that the machine can't detect the code 1195 if P0300 was present .
Will appreciate if somebody post the reply ASAP.

Try adjusting the TPS angle slightly towards the passenger side. P1195-manufacturer control, air fuel metering. Adjusting the angle slightly towards the passenger side will prevent the code from coming back. Don't adjust it too much because this will cause unstable idle, and higher rpm shifting. This should help, I fixed a P1195 code today this way on a 96 mazda protegee. It would take a while for all the MIL monitors to get ready to pass inspection so go ahead, and drive the car. When you have at least 2 remaining that is not ready you can pass the inspection(you can't pass if more than 2 is not ready). If you have a scanner check the MIL status, it should show you for example if EGR is ready or the 02 is ready etc, and it will show you how many are not ready. To do the drive cylce wait for the car to get cold(coolant temp less than 122 degrees F). Warm up the car 5-8 minutes. Accelerate to 55mph at 1/2 throttle. Steady cruise at 55mph for 3 minutes. Coast to 20mph without touching the brake. Accelerate again to 60mph at 3/4 throttle. Steady cruise at 60mph for 5 minutes. Second decelation to 20 mhp with no brakes. After this, the car should be ready for insfection. GOOD LUCK!
