Avic-d3 - Vss Issue

I recently just installed an AVIC-D3 into my 2005 3i ATX...now I've read just about every thread I could find about locating the VSS wire. I was told it was a brown wire coming off my transmission or a white/red OR white/blue wire on the PCM in location 1J...now I tried both wires and still nothing...anyone got a clue if these are the right locations. Thanks.

Just take a look at this picture, it tells where the wire is that you need. The dashkit i bought actually came with a pin that you stick in the empty spot in that harness there and then you just connect the vss wire to it and you're done.

Wow...so all I gotta go is insert a wire in the back of the speedometer and I'm set? Thanks a lot khaydin!
