i know they fit for sure with no rub. I put my buddies 350z track wheels and had plenty of clearance with 245's on them. The offset was just a bit off. you need a 50-52 offset and they work.

Im looking at a set of 18x8.5 with an offset of 43 is that too low?

they may be ok, you will just have to get some 10mil concentric spacers for them and stick with a 245/40(will confirm in a few minutes)

why must he get spacers? what if the aftermarket wheels are not "hub centric" but centered on the studs? most aftermarket wheels are that way.

well actually I had a brain fart. If you put on any spaces it will actually = less back spacing. So with a 8.5" rim and a 40 backspace, it will not work. They will stick out and rub.

So will they fit with no spacers? Thanks for all the responses so far guys.

8.5 with 43 offset...I say no. MAYBE with narrow tires and a fender roll, but anything less that a 225 tire on that rim will look weird.

I was gonna run a 225 anyway. Because i saw a guy on here with OZ UL's which had an et48 so i figured it could be done. Which i hope it can because they would look awesome on my car.

you could put 8's on it, you just need more backspacing. what rims are you looking at??

Work Emotions, they only come in 18x7.5 or 18x8.5, they have other sizes but the 9.5's are too wide and so are the 8.5's i guess.

I want to say I remember someone on these boards running the Work Emotion's in an 18x8 with a 45mm offset. I'm almost positive..

You might check this site:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I have RX8 rims 18x8" with a 50 mm offset which fit on a MS3. If you go with the 8.5 at 43 mm your inside clearance will fit but the outside will extend over an inch - maybe rolled fenders will help. Hard to say.

Cheers!

Peter
