Fastest 1/8 Et!!! [Archive]

Went to the track a few days ago and ran a 8.29 and 8.20. A few more runs and I think I could have been around 8.1 or better. Could I be the fastest MS6? I think I'm certainly in the 12 sec range. And according to a few websites, my 1/4 ET is estimated at 12.79. I guess I need to find a 1/4 track!

8.25 at 85.15mph got me 12.8 well good job glad to see you doing good bro! we should do a meet in a track and have the most speed3 and speed6 to come!

I'm pretty excited too. Like I said, I think I could go 8.10 or so, which would put me at around 12.7ish. I'd love to find a 1/4 mile track!

Shark Fin will be ordered in two weeks just for you KARMA! We'll talk about tint later. haha

I cant stand seeing people watch me pick my nose or sing and shit while i drive...needless to say the car gets hot as fck when its sunny, your upholstery might look at little wore out through time cuz of sun exposure, lets everyone know what you have in the car; possible temptation for theft, and if you want to do dirty deeds, then you cant, cuz you might get busted. So yeah...Tints FTW! Just dont be a retard like MS6Mike and tint the windshield on 5%!!

Congrats on the great time. I don't quite remember what my 1/8 time was, but I think it was in the 8.3 range. Now get out there and show us some awesome 1/4's!

thanks kids. any bidders on my breaking 12.85? I honestly don't think it will happen, for the sole fact of my 1/8 trap being so low. It was more than 1 mph slower. I worry that I won't be able to get fast enough to break 102 or 103 mph, which would put me around 12.9 ish.

I guess I'm pretty lucky, the closest 1/4 drag strip for me is 30 min away.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The closest one to me is right out of Atlanta, which is about 60 miles from my college and 120 miles from my house.

Just think when you break his 12.8 you could have a broke ass diff too. hopefully your tow job wont be as long as his was.

no prob. . It might not happen the first time he tries. Why have a car that only can get into the 12s once or twice then break down? I bet it will happen to all who get into the 12s. Fix the crappy rear diff first.

eh, read the thread of that track day. We ran the car 15 times, in different boost ranges and the VHT in the track doesnt help out when it comes to 'not beating' on the differential. Granted, the diff. IS weak, but it broke down because of abuse (Mike got frustrated he couldnt hit pass 13s)...

but yeah, definately fix the diff. and get some engine mounts.

no....i was going to go up to the tracks today, but it's 100 degrees here and i just don't feel like wasting a 4 hour drive to get bad results. i'm going to wait until the weather cools until i make the journey. i'll let you know.

my fastest 1/8 mile was 8.48 and i ran a 13.29.. not too bad going to the track again in a month and a half with a few more mods... could i be the first speed 6 to break into the 12's on the stock turbo... lol we shall see. but i doubt it.

Plues Protegegarage got a MS6 into 12.9 with the stock turbo if I remember correctly. Either way, a very exclusive club to be in!!! Wish you luck on getting there!

well now that i know its entirely possible im very excited to go to the track next time. mike ill try and beat ur time. u have the same mods done as i do. i dont have rims or anything but performance wise.
