i just ordered an '08 ms3 with SIRIUS and wanted to see what display looks like when it shows artist, title, category, etc. Can someone please post some? The dealer didn't have a car equipped with satellite radio, so they couldn't show it to me or explain how it works. Thanks.

Here you go.
This first pic is the default view. The other areas are blank because the car is off. SR1 means that I'm on the first of 3 sat preset banks, like FM1, FM2 etc. Ch5 means its my 5th preset. And 28 is the channel number for Faction.

Push in the dial I circled, it shows the station name:

Push it again, it shows the category. (no pic) Push again and it shows the artist:

Push it again and it shows the song:

Rotate the dial to view the entire text in the field:

And here's a pic of what it looks like when the car is on:

Not the best setup, but it doesn't suck either.

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I really appreciate it. It seems like a pretty good setup; it's similar to the one in the BMW's without NAV, except the button is bigger and closer. Thanks again.

One quick question, If you went aftermarket HU, what would be missing from there.(I know the clock needs to be disconnected from battery to set).
Thanks

I saw a picture of an aftermarket HU and the only thing that showed was the AC controls. There's a howto that shows you how to get one of the trip computer displays with an aftermarket HU as well.
