I know its a stupid ? but what does it stand for?? I see it while im on youtube all the time. Like this car has 300 whp.

That stands for Wheel Horse power or the amount of power the vehicle is actually putting down to the pavement.

For example the Mazdaspeed protege while rated at 170 horsepower at the crank probably puts out about 140hp to the wheels or so due to drivetrain loss and other such instances. Hope this answers your question
