that's what I should have. I think I got the 2.0 header and the 1.6 down pipe? I am so confused.

not sure what the thermostat housing looks like so I am not sure where too look at what your talking about. I am talking about that big cel fix thing on my down pipe that I can't seem to find on any protege picture, it's similar to the mazda3 one but not the same

Black hose runs into metal housing.. That is the T-Stat housing. I want to know why there is a metal tube that runs out of it. Seeming to the Ex-System...

I am pretty sure I have the 2.0 header but the downpipe I have is still from some unknown car and that's what I am trying to find out. That metal pipe is a CEL eliminator on the thunder downpipe but it's not a protege's

so to catch everything up today I installed a Thunder Header which is a 2 piece exhaust system consisting of the header and the down pipe. After 5 hours of making it fit, still have fitment issues I turned to the internet to figure out wtf was wrong. I am 99% sure I have the 2.0L protege5 header but an unknown down pipe with a CEL eliminator that doesnt look any thing like the proteges I have seen.

well I found the actual thunder website though no picture of the actual down pipe that I have

I think it's a mazda 323 header/downpipe but the pictures dont show the left side the downpipe on the 323 (where the cel eliminator would be)

matt to me it looks like you have the 1.6L header...and that probably explaints the fitment issues as well as the cell eliminator being on the wrong side...

i have the thunder header on mine...i think you saw it last time i was at your house...but the eliminator on your j-pipe is on the wrong side...

so in conclusion...you have the wrong fucking header on your car...lol
