whats is the biggest rim size that can be put on a 2002 mazda protege 5? the car is used everyday so i need to know whats the biggest size i can put wit no problems or anything wit the springs added to it.

18x7.5 with correct offset. 18x8 if you roll the rear fenders.

there is a thread with one that has 20's on it, but alot of modding was done, i think 19's too, but no tire at all....search for the official protege wheel thread

with rubberbands for tires. Id be safe and go with some nice 17's.

You could run like 215/35-18s but 17s work and look much better on our cars.

umm ok i guess 17s with the springs and all should give it a nice ride and look after all..

i have 215/35/18s on my Pro and when I hit a pothole my eyes get teary...17's are MUCH safer and are better for everyday use.

ah dang. I guess when im ready to buy new rims ill be going with 17s then.

17x7 with 42-50mm offset for 205/45s; get 48-55mm for 215/40s.

our cars brent suited to run big wheels and tires, the ride quality decreases substantielly with 18's and if thiS is your dd then its gunma get old real fast. i have 17's on for 5 years now and am happy with the ride and the look not to mention your accelaration goes to crap with bigger wheels

i had 18's hated the ride quality, went to 17s and a drop and love it...look at my sig...looks sick qith 17s

yea it looks good. i guess when im ready to buy some rims they will be 17s for what i been told. thanks to all for the info and help and your time
