What is the change from the stock shifter? Is the stick just shorter, or are there other changes such as pivot ratio, springs, etc.? Is it adjustable?

I must say, the knob looks too low for my taste.

Hey,

The changes from the stock shifter are both a revised pivot ratio and a lower shift knob height. Not only does the short shifter reduce shift knob height, but it also reduces the angle the shifter goes through between gears.

It is a true short throw shifter!! =]

Do we have a price range yet? Is a shift knob included in the package? Will the factory shift know work with the SS?

I think a 'MAZDASPEED' logo engraving on the knob would look pretty cool, if you could do it.

Definitely interested, I've been waiting on a SS for a while now, just give me some more answers. :)

No, the knob won't be included in the package, but we will offer rebate if you buy both.

Yes, the factory shift knob will work on our short shifter.

The short shifter will be available with optional base bushings. We have actually been selling the MazdaSpeed 3 base bushings (http://www.twmperformance.com/bushingkits/) alone for some time now, so we decided to make them optional so people who have already bought the Speed 3 base bushings don't have to pay for them again if they buy the short shifter.

Simon, is this sprung to align with 3rd when released into a nuetral position the way the other short throws I've used are? That's a major consideration for me as this thing never wants to down shift from 6th to 3rd properly when I'm riding on back roads.
