Really glad I found these forums. Kind of new to this so please , lol go easy on me. I bought my speed about year ago it only had 24,ooo and some change on it. I love this car its a blast to drive . but the time has come to do some upgrades, my car is bone stock at the moment. I have added a few things alreay to it. Chrome inlay on the dashboard , euro style taillights ( these things look really nice ) , a custom made windsheild banner but now I want to get a little more serious about it, here is what i am looking to get
Injem cold air kit
2 1/2 inch exhaust kit ( for some performance and sound )
Unichip system
and some others as money lol and time allow....
Like i said very new to this so anyadvice you guys can give would be great (gossip)
as soon as I get the hang of this a will post some photos of the car!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude that banner should give you all the power you need (moon)
those sound like the right tools to begin modding, but if you plan on going with a built motor with all the tid bits. I suggest using a different ems that will allow you more flexibility with tuning, although there is nothing wrong with the unichip.

I suggest getting a front mount intercooler and getting the exhaust handled first. Those two will really wake the car up. Then get some sort of engine management. After that, everything else is really up to you.

exhaust, fmic, cai,and a afc you could hit a little over 200 with that but you would need a 626 intake mani to hit 230

is this intake a direct fit or do you have to do some work to get it on!!!!!

Welcome aboard. If you are going to do a FMIC, I suggest getting hooked up on the Group Buy list for the new Corksport FMIC for your MSP. If we get 20 peeps on the list we can get it for $699 Fully polished, direct fit. I've seen the kit in person... and it is a pretty nice unit.
If you ain't on the Corksport MSP FMIC GB list.... Then get on it!!!

Welcome to the forums, you will find this site to be so helpful as did I!!
I recommend waiting in the CAI since it's $200+ to spend on a good exhaust. Right now I am still running the stock air box with a K&N drop-in and really that is all you need. I would focus on FMIC and turboback exhaust for sure. And get Split Second AFC from Protegegarage. The afc will work perfect for small mods like you want, Im running many mods and the afc works great! Just browse all the vendors on here for your parts, and make sure to check out the group buys for even greater deals. One big WARNING though is do not turn boost up past 10psi on the stock bottom-end!
