I am trying to see if there is an available short throw shifter for a 1991 mazda 323. I see they are available for only 1992 and up. I am not sure what the difference would be. Please help.

yeah there are several available out there. some even make their own which is cheaper and it does the same thing...depends on your fabrication skills tho.

but a shortshifter for a 1992 will fit your 1991...basically from 91 to 94 perts should be able to fit. if you buying from e-bay be very careful and read every little word, don't trust the seller who will say that everythings fits in your car, like saying something from a 95 mazda would fit on your 323, not true :)

goodluck :)
