While being a moron in my engine bay today I managed to break off a lightbulb-like filament in my MAF. Just wondering if anyone knows how screwed I am? Do I need to replace the whole thing?

bump for help. Took it for a test drive this morning and it runs like crap, but it still seems to get me around for the time being.

I'm a bit late, obvioiusly. Anyway, you are correct, you'll have to replace the entire MAF.

Better late than never. Thanks for the info. I'm picking one up at a junkyard tomorrow.
This is the second time my car has been disabled by about 2mm of metal (blew a "room" fuse a few weeks ago and couldn't shift out of park). I sure know how to break the right parts.
