Im lookin to drop the MS3 an inch or so with the mazdaspeed coilover kit and naturally am lookin into bigger wheels...check out the photochop below and let me know what you guys think.

19x8 35mm offset | 235/40/19 Bridgestone Potenzas RE050A

The rim is 25 pounds...does anyone know the weight of the stock wheels? Also do you guys think itll be safe to go with 245s?

Thanks!

you might not get away with 40 series though. and 245 seems huge.

35mm offset sounds like the wheels going to stick out real far....

With an 8" wheel you need to go with a 45mm offset and I would suggest a 225/40/19.....235 would probably work but it is not needed. You wont notice any handling differences....but it will ensure that you wont rub at all.

Wow, the pic looks great! But 19's?!?! I think with 35mm they'll stick out alot, though.

245/10/18 fits on the front with stock no rubbing so a 48mm 7.5" would fit too.

I am interested if these would fit. I have a set of Enkei RPM2's in 18x8 +35 with 245/40/18 Azenis 615s that are on my RX-8. I'm getting RPF1s 18x9.5 with 275/35/18s for my 8 so I want to put the RPM2s on my MS3. Hoping they fit by my wheel/tire calc says they will stick out 32mm more than stock. Let me know.

I have the the Rx8 wheels 18x8 the stock rubber 215/45/18 and the coilover kit and there is little room for a wider tire let alone a 1" drop on 19's. Measure LOTS b4 you take that on. It will look sick though (spin)
