My car has been at the mechanics for about 4 days and I just got it back. As I'm accelerating, there would be a hesitation as in getting up to speed. I researched a little bit on google and stuff, and apprently that could happen if the MAF sensor is dirty. What do you guys think?, Is it my MAF or something completely different?

What kind of work was done while the car was with your mechanic? If your car wasn't acting that way prior to you taking it there, then bring your car right back to him and have him check it out.

you might want to try resetting the ECU. Letting the car relearn everything.
Might also want to invest in some maf cleaner. Doesn't hurt to clean it !!!

I brought it back from the mechanic. He said that it was because it was dirty. He cleaned it out for me and now the car feels back to normal. Thanks for all the help. =]

and what did you spend at the mechanic ??
u could have got the maf cleaner for $5-$10 at most....
EDIT: almost like a degreaser. spray, let dry, done

If it happens again, check your spark plugs. If it was a dirty MAF it would have problems everywhere, especially at idle. If it was re-producible in a specific rpm range, that leads to spark plugs, wires or coil packs.
