Since a couple of days, the light of my radio's buttons (not the LCD) is not as bright as before? It used to be a much brighter red, but now I can barely read whats written on them.
Has it happened to anybody else on the board? Could it be just a loose wire behind the radio?
Thanks

A few weeks ago the lights on all my buttons went out, but the unit otherwise works as usual. I will have the unit replaced when I go in for my next oil change, as I have an extended Mazda warranty that came with my car when I purchased it.

i know there's an option in one of the menu's to auto-dim the buttons either when the headlights are on, or when car is on. maybe that somehow changed or got crossed...check that?

Still have the same problem and just checked in the instruction manual and it says that its probably the dimmer wire (orange/white) that is not connected properly. Do you know which wire I have to tap it to?
Thanks

same thing happened to me the other day. The radio works perfectly otherwise, stock kenwood.
bottons that are along the bottom src, 1,2,3,4, etc, are all unlit. I'd like to know a solution to this.
Thanks for all the help so far protege board members. (DEEP IN SARCASM)

I didnt resolve my problem yet, but looks like its the wire between the unit and the front face that needs to be replaced.
