I am having a very difficult time finding a gauge pod for ANY boost gauge. I called Summit racing & then Autometer only to discover none made for the MSP3 yet. Duct tape mounting solution? Have passenger hold gauge along with latte?
Any suggestions and/or pictures of your successful solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
FYI I am taking delivery of my MSP3 on tuesday this week, selling stock rims with tires(88 miles on them).

there is alot of different ways. check out our forum sponsor protegegarage.com, they have a few. people also have mounted them in their left air vent, which is pretty clean. just do a search with the search function and you'll find a few different ways. air vent and various steering wheel column mounts.

I have seen the picture of the triple gauge pod dash mount from LOTEK. I have heard nuthing but BAD things regarding this method/product. Although on a similar post I saw the LOTEK version yet was an ENTIRE piece that replaced the stock plastic that went all the way around the 2 a/c vents. Any idea where this is bought from? I have PM'd tons of people that shows pictures of it on their MS3. No luck where to get though. Thnks

The 1-piece triple gauge pods for the dash are custom made so they're very difficult to find.

On a side note since I'm mildly proud of it, I designed Lotek's website, http://www.gaugepods.com/ almost 5 years ago. They have since changed the header image from the original which featured my WRX. If you read the source files you'll see it's all HTML, because I was in high school at the time and that was all I knew! I think the site has aged well though.
The lotek pod didn't fit anywhere near factory in my WRX, but it was passable.

you can buy pods ranging from 1-3 gauges to mount left of the windshield. i have read that this location can't be used because of the side curtain airbag. i have to disagree. this weekend i was installing a nav system and rear view mirror with 4.5" lcd screen, compass&temp, which my nav will display, and i removed the windshield colomn trim cover to see where the curtain was mounted. the curtain starts almost at head level. so mounting the gauge pod would not interfere with the funtion of the curtain air bag. if the curtain airbag were to activate it with simply push the pod cluster toward the pasanger side of the car. i spoke to the autobody manager of the mazda dealership in my area and he said they have only had two ms3's that have emplyed the side curtain air bags and they actually reused the trim piece after the accidents. so i think the velocity of the curtains opening wouldn't effect the gauge pods. i have seen the pod mounts that go where the nav is located. my opinion, it looks cheap. don't think i want to give up a air condition vent either. good luck!

i support prosportgauges.com
they're products are cheap and awesome.
the blue matches the backlit of the cluster very well, and the red/amber is almost identical to the cluster as well. your choice!
i would do the vent gauge for just one..

I have a red prosport and it does match well. I also feel it is pretty accurate. However the face scratches real easily while dusting, the recall button rattles, and the included mounting cup sucks. For 80 bucks it isn't bad but, remember cheap means cheap. Defis ain't 280 for no reason now.

Just wanted to add a pic of mine... I used this gauge cup I bought from SU for 14 bucks. The view from the drivers seat is perfect. I would like a cleaner install though. I might switch to the Mearcat pod.

I bought the 3 gauge pod from protoge garage. ya know the one that mounts on the dash just above the to center a/c vents. It cost me like $60- $70. But I did what that one guy did. i cut my stock dash piece and glued the pod to it, then used permapoxy plastic weld and professional glazing puddy to blend it. Then after a bit of sanding and some paint, it ended up pretty good. I'm pretty happy with it, considering I have never done that before.

Why doesn't everyone with one gauge have a pillar pod? I would hate to lose a vent, or just have it hanging out screwed into my steering wheel. Yeck...

I personally don't like the pillar mount because I don't like having it in my field of view when driving. It just makes to big of a blind spot.
I have only had my boost gauge for about a 2 weeks. It is currently lit up white which I do like but it just does not match the gauges. What does everyone else think amber or white. Also is it easy to see the red needle w/ the red background. (that is why i choose white)
On the premium Prosport gauge that has the silver button for peak recall & warning setup: if it rattles like mine did > you can fix the by just dabbing a bit of silicone or RTV inside the bottom hole where the button goes thru with a toothpick. Just be sure to put enough on so as to prevent the rattling but not too much that the button sticks and you can't push it in.

I dig that; very nice! I haven't EVER had an issue with visibility with my pillar mount.

Probably because when the side curtain airblag blows, your gauge "may" end up implanted in your face, which would probably hurt.
