Yep,

My engine fell out last night at about 11:00 pm when I was coming home from work. So I called my friend and he didn't believe me, I almost had to beg him to even come and look. I was driving about 40 mph and I herd bolt back out hit something metal then the axles come out. I didn't hit the ground thank God and there didn't seem to be as much damage as some other cars but it still sucked!

The car is at Mazda right now and they don't know about the recall yet and I told them about it. They didn't believe me when I said I was just driving normal and it fell out. But I don't care they are gonna fix it!!

My car has no modds and only has 5000 miles on it, and to make matters worse I have a trip to Canada planned. Its a 1000 mile drive each way and I hope they give me a good rental, becasue I'm still going!

deffinatly make sure you aren't paying for miles on the loaner and tell them you are going on a trip so you need a comparable car not some lil accent or something...

Ya I'm gonna try and get an suv or at least a car as big as the ms3, and maybe when I get back the car will be fixed!

How in the world can Mazda even let these cars on the road anymore.

I just want my car back I miss it and it's only been 12 hours, but ya I'm glad my car wasn't going any faster and thankfully the place it happened at was in town and I could easily pull over...

My salesman just called me about the recall. I guess he was told not to sell em anymore. I called today to make an appointment and the service manager was unaware of the recall so I gave him the recall number. He's looking into it now to see whats up. Where in Canada are you heading??

That sucks that it happened after the recall. JUST after!

Mine goes in a few hours to get it fixed. How long should something like this take them?
I have a trip planned as well and I was worried about something like what happened to you.

It's just a matter of time before your dealer "knows" about the recall. I was just at my dealer yesterday and they received new Motoro Mounts in for the recall. They have 3 custoemrs that need the replacement.

should even pull out parts of the threads here, and give them to the service people and manager's at Mazda. This is such a ridiculous problem, I thought the MSP's had it bad.

Is there a average on miles on how long it takes the bolt to fall out. My car goes in on tuesday, and I only have 500 miles on it. Should I be worried, or just baby it until then. I love mazda, but love to hate them sometimes. Why did they make the car so good with such a shitty, part. If anyone could fill me in I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I just called my mazda, and they said that they need to inspect the car before making any decisions. Some cars need a new bolt, a new nut, or even a new motor mount. It all depends on the car, and almost every ms3 is included in this recall. So if no one has called there dealers yet, I would call and set up the appt. I hope I am good until next tuesday.

Hi...I'm new to the forum. I'm a proud owner of a black mica Speed3 with a build date of 3/07. I just contacted my dealer and they were not aware of the recall. I then contacted Mazda direct, they are now getting the part number and contacting my dealer and shipping it ASAP. Mazda said that the recall went out on the second of July. He was a little suprised that I was all ready aware of the problem. Which brings me to my thanks to you all for the fast information.

I think my service adviser reads these forums. He always asks if I saw it online. I plan on keeping my mods out of my signature. :D

You know IMO that would be horribly sad if the dealer reads on here to get the local customers on what mods they have. Really. I have had CAI, CBE, and test pipe, and more done to my Honda and they still covered my warranty work.

well it happened. a guy in rthe ms6 world had a tn o fmods. but tried to get warranty work done. And the mods apparently were the cause of what went wrong. cause the read them on line. I think it was more he said he didnt have any but the guy bolstered on line about what mods he had! so he ended up being blacklisted on mazdas website!

but dosent help my liscense plate is the same as my handle on some boards!

That is too bad. I guess it is just sad how that happens. I mean don't get me wrong...we had a WRX and an EVO and they listed every mod that we had on the car to void our warranty. It can happen....but sad none the less.

all my dealers say is
"as long as the part didnt cause the problem" im all good. but they say they can tell if you changed back (wear on parts). But soem mazda dealers. My guy has been talkign to and the whole service department and mechanics want ot see what can be done and want to buy the parts. (no ww ejust need to ge tthem made).

Bu tsome dealers might be coo. My bro said one in missouri wants ot be an authorized cp-e dealer and offer a new car with the compnents on the car is your sale as a option, and will factory warranty them.
But it usually comes down to a dealer by dealer thing. one wont help you, but the next one will.

any dealer that tells you the mod is the cause of the problem has to be able to prove it court if needed. I owned a pretty well modded impreza for awhile and always carried a copy of the magnuson moss warranty act in the car with when ever I went to the dealer. usually if you press a dealer about showing you or explaining to you how it could have caused the problem most will back off. I know this for a fact because I work for an acura dealer and have seen many blown engines and trans replaced on RSXs that were heavily modded or were obviously returned to stock before coming tothe dealer to have the problem looked at. So remember fellas always make the dealer show you why your mod caused the problem...... do not just take their word for it.

LOL! no problem. Bill in Service dept. said they had 3 new mounts in stock.

and for those wondering, the mount is not "new", no design changes at all.

they are simply replacing older mounts in a particular VIN range because if the bolt worked its way loose, it could have done damage to it.

only the No.10 bolt is really new. plus its torqued to a God-fearing level!

Yeah they best have those last 2 ready for us tomorrow AM because I called 2x to be sure of it.

See I wasn't mad about the motor mount failing at all. But I have been trying to get a rental car all day and I have no other transpotation. They want me to dive 2 hours to the closest madzaspeed dealership and get the rental car. I am going to canada and they found me a car that won't charge me for miles but they are not going to give me a car to get up there to get it. I am getting so pissed. I am not paying a dime for anything, not gas to get up there, or anything, I shouldn't have to.

I am gonna raise hell if they give me anymore trouble.

Since you're obviously "TheMAN", perhaps you'd care to elaborate on the 5 changes?

The mount I was told is the same and I think the revision was the latter built models like mine had the rubber cleared off of them. They only replaced my bolt today and not the mount since not all MS3's need the full change.

I tried to stand in there and look but the tech was sort of a quit wierdo that clearly needed to be left alone to just work with out me standing over him. I figure at this point it has to be solid and unless they fucked up it will be fine. It would be pretty hard to mess up pulling a bolt and putting in a new one and since I wasnt the first one to have this done I am sure its fine.
