Hi All,
Just bought my CX9 last night and was trying to connect my LG VX9800 but could not. The prior dealer that I was trying to buy the vehicle from hooked up his LG (different model) and called me from it before. So I think hwen I say LG, the car is looking to hook up with that phone which was stored in memory.
I want to change it but not sure how.. I will be reading the book today, however if anyone can help with how to disconnect or removea prior phone that was connected and start over, it will be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, please advise which phones you have been able to hook up to your CX9 bluetooth.
thanks

Anyone try a Samsung Blackjack? I can see Mazda on my phone, but Mazda can't see me. Hmm...

I've gotten mine to pair up ok - but the CX-9 'forgets' the iPhone when the car gets turned off.
ex.
Pair the iPhone (works great) -
Does the CX remember the iPhone in the phone priority list? (yes).
Go through the verbal prompts to 'select' the iPhone from the list (it's number 1 in the priority list). (works swimmingly).
Make a call - take a call - through the steering wheel (works great - no pedestrians killed).
Get out of car and turn car off (yes, well... get on with it) -
Get back in the car and try to make a call (no link and no 'blue' bluetooth icon on the iPhone).
Verbally select the phone from the priority list (the CX sees the iPhone and turns the bluetooth icon on the iPhone blue - link is up and running and all is well).
So everything works as long as I don't turn off the car... this is gonna cost me a lot of gas.
Any thoughts?

Interesting... Six posts before aarroneous reported: "Apple iPhone works very well". There are lots of known software issues with the iPhone, they have recently released the third software update. Sure, it's sort of lame. But at least it shows anyone having trouble that the odds are it's user error.

My Samsung Blade (A900) paired and works just fine; however, it won't hang up with the steering wheel button. When I hold the button down for a long time (per OM), nothing happens, and I usually get "Listening" displayed. If I say cancel nothing happens either. I have to hang up by using the button on the phone.
Anyone have any ideas or solutions? Per the Mazda web site the A900 is fully compatible.
Thanks.

My Samsung A900 now displays the battery and signal strength after the software update. I placed a call today, and before connecting, the CX-9 voice said "Please note that your battery is low", or something similar to that.

Hookep up my wife's Moto Razr today, no issues--sounds good. Then hooked up my no-frills Nokia. It works, but it has an echo, i.e. I can hear the speaker repeating what I say. I can also kinda hear an echo with my bluetooth headset, so the problem is the cheap phone.
So phone quality plays a role here. Guess you get what you pay for...

Works great with the Iphone.(first) Paired 2 phones with the car. Some people might have problems with them because of the software and unlocks out there but they work great, even call waiting works great on them. I remember the manual somewhere saying to turn it off but it works great. Wish there was a way to control the prompt volume separate from the in-call volume.

When I make a call from the phone it takes forever for the bluetooth to pick up and play thru the car. Making voice calls and answering incoming work great. Thanks for any tips.

My Motorola E815 works great and sounds great.
But has anyone ever had their audio system lock up after ending a call? It has happened to me three times now. It's like it's still in telephone mode (volume can only adjust up to 14), but no amount of button pushing will allow the radio to come back on. The only solution I have found is to "reboot" the car.

Yes! I had this problem one day. I thought I blew out the electronics on the audio system somehow. It seemed like it had hung-up the connection, but the audio system didn't realize the call had gone away.
I was driving along the highway and "rebooting" the car wasn't an option at the time. I think I ended up after about 20 minutes making another call (trying to diagnose the problem) when the system realized a new call was being made and started the call again. When I hung-up this time, the audio was back to normal.

Hmmm... I hadn't thought of making another call from the cell phone. I couldn't do anything through the car itself, but the phone may have worked. I'll try that, should it happen again.
For future reference, you can reboot while on the highway. Just be sure to shift into neutral first. :)

My iPhone 3G connected fairly easily and has worked pretty well. One time my wife's phone rang and it rang through the car, even though we hadn't paired it. Must be looking at some identifier that doesn't distinguish different units.
I haven't tried uploading the address book and not sure that I will, but our saleswoman told us it's problematic and doesn't usually work.
Blackberry Pearl 8130, sound is very clear and much better than my previous Acura TL.
