Does anyone have any experience with carmax? I am considering taking it up there to see what theyll offer but I am going to need to go back to stock if I wanna even try...

You can check out my thread in the FS forum for any specifics.

Basically a clean orange 03 speed with 58k miles.

Any ballpark on their offer!?! (boom07)

Go to NADA.com and check out your trade-in value. If the car is clean, you will get trade-in value +/- $500

I've had two cars appraised by them, and they've offered me what kelly blue book has them valued at on both of them. They even gave me a print out of the kbb website with the value listed on there.

lol i got this when doing a trade in value on the mazdaspeed:

This Value Is Not Available
Because the market for this trim level is unusually small, specialized or otherwise unique, we are not able to report a Trade-In value.

If you did that online, it makes sense. CarMax uses KBB religiously, therefore they can't report a value online. Currently NADA is the only guide that has values posted for the MSP.
