Hey all, I'm looking to buy a MS3 GT Black Mica (no nav). I'm trying to get my dealership to agree to $23,500 out the door including tax/tags/freight/admin bs fee's etc. I'm also paying cash which I know dealerships don't like but they won't know that until we agree on a price. what do you guys think of the price? would this be a good deal for me?based on tax/tags etc in my state, I would be getting the car for $22,250 which is likely below their invoice (most seem to be around $22,404).

what do you all think? do I have a shot at getting them to agree?

in houston some dealers where charging 1000 over, i coulnt find any on willing to deal on the gt model, i paid msrp fully loaded every option with nav, i was lucky just pay the msrp. if you find a sport model thats been sitting around a while you might be able to deal

dude tell them you are paying cash!! they will more then likely be willing to go where you want to as it seems reasonable with me... every person that i know who has paid cash for a new vehichle gets it at or under invoice.

Yep, good to see a familiar name here Sean!!! I'm buying soon I hope....just waiting for my dealership to get a black mica GT in for me.

They told me invoice on a black mica GT (non-nav) was 23.6 but everything I can find on the internet suggests 22.4 or so. Of course they offer to print you out a sheet "direct from Mazda USA" lol that says 23.6 but they could be full of it as most dealers are.

Right now, we're at about $23k flat plus 5% tax/tags($128). Freight is included in the $23. do you guys think this is a good deal? I'm going to do battle tomorrow at the dealership...hoping to cash in a $200 internet coupon on top of that....they're going to hate me when the dust settles!(upbum)

Shooot!! I payed $23k for my sport. If you can get a gt for that price you're good to go.

The best way to get the deal is to go really low on the buying price but tell them you are gonna finance through them. They will take a hit on the price of the car and jack up your interest rate on the loan to get it back. Then once you have them at the price you want, slap a check from a credit union on the managers desk and call him Sally

My wife and I went in tonight (she does all of the negotiations). We settled on $23288 plus tax and tags. I wanted $23k flat but they said they couldn't go below $23,576 (they said that is their invoice cost). (Keep in mind I was negotiating on a car they didn't have on the lot. They are trading a hard top Miata MX-5 to get me the black MS3). We finally got them to come down half way and throw in 4 free oil changes, delivery to my house, a grill (bbq) and the Mazdaspeed CAI at dealer cost. Does anyone know how much dealer cost is on the intake? They are going to call me tomorrow with the price. This particular MS3 GT came with the auto dimming compass mirror and wheel locks. The motor mount recall will be fixed before delivery Tuesday (under warranty).

the dealer effed something up...or they're lying to me. They said the couldn't get the car I wanted (it was in NJ) so they're going to find another one for me and deliver it tomorrow.

*sigh* another day of waiting.

worth the wait, worth the wait...

thats all you gotta keep telling yourself..

yea, it's def worth the wait. I know that for a fact. I just keep staring at those pics of yours and pretend it's mine!!! lol

I'm selling the audi but I'm in no rush really. I'd like $6500 which is a steal IMHO for a full stg 3 car. I've had some interest and even a few lowballers offering me $4k but I just can't "give away" a BT A4.

speed3shon
07-10-2007, 06:24 PM
yea, i would not go near 4k...

i listed mine for $5k, it had a k04, but was otherwise relatively stock at the point of sale... sold it for 4k the same day i picked up my ms3, because i was in a hurry.

yours is a no-corners-cut stage 3 as far as im concerned...

+1 Thats so true. Cash talks! If the dealer knows and see your ready to pay cash up front, you have ALOT to bargain with.

07-11-2007, 08:44 AM
the 08's will be more expensive and more in demand and I won't be able to get one for just over 24k out the door like I did with the 07.

CTGrey02
07-11-2007, 09:14 AM
Not to be an ass, but you don't exactly have one at the moment anyway. Your loosing a whole year of resale value as well by buying so close to the time when the 08's are being released.

07-11-2007, 09:50 AM
yeah, good point....but price is an issue for me. I don't want to spend more than what the dealership and I agreed to for the 07. I did however get the grill already lol...

You should tell them to throw in a patio set to go with your grill for the delay they are causing you!! Anyways, hope they figure out something soon for you, good luck

I paid MSRP on mine, and also bullied the hell out of them to give me a good deal on my trade in. I had shopped around and most dealers were offering me like $14,000 for my trade, I got the dealership I ended up going with to give me $15,500. Blue Book trade in was far less than this. So... in effect, I got them to come off MSRP.

YESS!!! DO IT!!!

I tried to explain to someone on my audi site what driving the MS3 was like. to put it simply, I said "go drive an MS3 and then try to wipe the smile off your face when you're done." It's so much fun to drive. not the fastest car out there but it's a blast to drive.

ASK TO SEE THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER to DEALER INVOICE... NOT
the MSRP Dealer "Window Sticker" ... start your dealing from there with
their FULL knowledge that you are paying cash. Stand your ground and
don't waiver... you are a REAL BUYER and they will not let you walk...
their goal is to sell the car.

I got a FABULOUS DEAL on my MZ3~S last year because I went in with
money in my hand and said, so do you want to sell a car to me or not?
I paid only $500 over M-t-D invoice, AND also got a totally once-in-a
"Blue Moon" REBATE due to an advertising error on the dealer's website!!
(Yes, really!!) Thus the NAME of my sexy Winning Blue MZ3~S is "Blue Moon"!!

Good Luck and stand your ground.

Paid 23,667 out the door for my Black GT without NAV. Add on's included fuel door cover, and wheel locks. Hope this helps. The dealer in my area would not deal much at all. Flew to St Louis for 96.00 bucks and picked it up at Bomarrito Mazda and drove it home to Tulsa that afternoon-----------Jeff

Ps: They picked me up at the airport, and sent me out the door with a full tank of gas which got me almost all the way home. Good deal, good dealership. Look them up on the net and talk to Greg Kimbrell.
