I was on my way to work today i was shitfing into 4th and my blow off valve went of the then it just died off instintly, ( i have the greddy and it flutters for a lil bit on my car), but anyways my boost gauge is not going above 0 and i hear the BOV a lil bit but its really really quite. I'm thinking it is a vaccuum line but im not sure. So if any of you guys have ever had this happen to you or if you know what line to check that would be great. I could not really look to good cause i was already running late for work. But around 12 i can go check it out, my boss (direct) is a real prick.
Thanks

lets see why it is NOT a vaccum line! :)
1) if it was a vac at the WGA, you will be doing MAD BOOST, above 14psi
2) if it was a vac at the BOV, you will be doing MAD TURKEY everytime you shifted.
Now, the real reasons...
1) you BOV might be stuck in the OPEN position, not lubricating the BOV creates this.
2)You made mad boost on shitty intercooler piping..i'm guessing a FMIC? since you mention a BOV....something popped off...
4) worst case scenerio, your turbo went south....highly doubt it tho...not before doing horrendous mechanical noises, WAR OF THE WORLDS style...

Well i have the HiBoost FMIC and im only running like 6 psi lol, when i dont use my MBC. so maybe its my BOV. I took of my MBC on monday, so im running low boost. But what exactly is the turkey sound you are talking about.

you might not have this bov thing if you have a relocated maf...
you haven't talked enough about your set up to know this

I have 3" turbo back exhaust, Injen CAI, HiBoost FMIC, and a MBC. I took off the MBC on monday and i changed my oil on tuesday.( not like that really matters). That is my setup. i run 10 psi with the MBC on and like 5-6 psi without the MBC.

a bad WGA would make you spike crazy
so, count that out
can you read VAC on your boost gauge?
perhaps when removing the MBC you accidentlly kinked something and the boost gauge is not reading boost?
have you checked the posibility of popping off a pipe? highly doubt it that you didn't pop one with 10 psi and you did with 6 psi...but is a possibility...
relocated maf?

when you say can i read vac, that is when the guage is the left and im ideling or not WOT and not building any boost, and if that is the case its at 19-20 usually.
i really dont think its a pipe as well cause it would not run at all, i had my throttle body pipe pop off on my twice and the car just dies.
and my MBC is right in front so i dont think i kinked a line but at 12 im going to check my lines and see if i can get the BOV off and check it out, but what would you recomend to lube up the BOV. this is all new to me.
and finally what do you mean reclocate my MAF, in put in the Injen CAI so if it as simple as it sounds, then yes im guessing. But im not sure where it was stock, the intake that was on it when i first got was made out for exhaust piping and duct tape lol.

OK, if you installed an injen intake as per instructions then you don't have a relocated maf.
lube the BOV with motor OIL

Ok i checked my piping and there are no leaks and i checked to obvious vaccum lines and they are all sealed and connected, but there is no air coming out of my BOV (its a greddy type rs) and i think im getting that turkey sound you were talking about and i did have the right allen key to take apart my BOV. I was not able to go onto the road and see if i was getting any boost. but my vac is at like 18 know and its normally at 19-20 so im not sure if that means anything.

the vac so low could mean two things:
the AC is on, or you have a leak.
now that you mentioned a greddy rs then those don't have a PISTON but more of like a valve.
make sure the line going to the RS has vac, remove it and put your finger on it, you should feel a sucking force(not a blowjob, ok?)
if no vac, then most likely, your line has a hole somewhere..
r u using STOCK vac lines?

i did check the line from the BOV and it was sucking and yes i do have stock vac lines. and the AC was not on.

replace vacume lines with silicone lines that is the 1st mod i did to my msp when i got it

yes sir, you MUST replace the shitty hard lines first, that is, the OEM vac that become rock solid and break easily....

I don't see how you would ONLY overboost if the wga was fucked. Heck, one of the symtoms of a WGA with a hole in the diaphram is shitty performance and underboosting.

Yes you should be sorry for giving bad info. I had a WGA with a hole in the diaphram... it barely boosted, not overboosted. Learned from experience not Tejas or Meeami mechanics.
Thanks.

Yeah I too had a bad WGA with little boost to no, it would take forever for me to reach 2psi I'd have to red li e it to get there.

then your wastegate must have been stock OPEN!
not everyones gets stock OPEN, mine was stock CLOSE and i was boosting 15 PSI!!
i have witnesses that saw me do 14 seconds passes on the quarter mile with only an intake and gutted cats, which for many, is impossible to do!
so yea, you are a
oh, and the MEXICAN shit you just said, well, you could stick up your motherfucking ass, you fucking beaner hater!

since i don't have a hks, i wouldn't know
ask crackerjakx, he seems to be a knowledgeable guy. he must know the answer.

This was the case with my first bad wastegate actuator. Mine would not go into boost.
I replaced it with an ATP version. It finally died at 120,000 miles.
Now I am rebuilding the engine with forged internals and I will get yet another actuator.

ok i found my problem, it was a combination of 3 things lol, first one of my couplers got a hole in so i had a lil leak in pipes running from my intercooler to my throttle body, then my MBC was broken, and finally the kid that had the car before me put silicone sealing stuff around the BOV and the gasket and that made my BOV not open. So that is what caused the problem.
So thank you guys for all you help and the info.
