im debating on buying an 07 now or waiting the 30 days. price should stay the same hopefully.

They did the same thing with the MSP. The initial run did pretty well, so they tweaked the car ever so slightly so they can sell some more and still call it "limited edition" but sell more of them.

for here in the states there's no color differences, i was on our dealer site "trying" to order 08's and it takes you to color choices, and optional equipment etc. nothing was different. i can't see them changing hardly anything at all for 2008, even so they are more than halfway done with the first batch. there shouldn't be any speed 3's for 09 though, limited to 2 years for mazdaspeed...if they carry it longer it will be the first time. The speed miata was really something though, there was a factory fire limiting the 05's to just over 1,000....so those little guys are pretty rare.

Another possibility is that the MS3 in the picture has a new front fascia designed to meet the new EU pedestrian safety standards, in which case Mazda could choose to sell the new look only in EU countries or use the EU bumper in all markets.

It looks as dumb as the current front bumper. Those "eyes" around the fog lights sereve no purpose except to make waxing more time-consuming than it needs to be!

Looks like an 07' with some black tape under the lights to me. I can't pick out anything that looks different. Well.... if you look really close it looks like maybe the 08' will come with a CB radio as an option. Beautiful antenna.
Also, it looks like the picture is in europe, but the badge under that tape is not an MPS badge, it's the US Mazdaspeed3 badge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I saw a different badge on the euro and canadian models than the one we get here in the US an A.

Thats precisely the reason I bailed on my MS3 order last year. That and when they released the Canadian price, I felt it was too high. (Almost $32,000 sticker).

I went to a Honda dealer a few months ago (while helping my sister shop for a car). At the time, the Fit was in high demand. The salesman pulled out a booklet of printouts showing exactly what they had on the way to their dealer and when it was scheduled to arrive. Model, transmission, options, color, etc. It went at least two months out.

I'd bet the Subaru dealers have something similar. They must know what cars they are getting in 90 days, but they may not want to tell you, yet.

Already contacted dealer and have appt. Think I'm going speed3 GT in cosmic blue, homelink mirror with compass. That's it. I will very very much be shooting for under invoice! They are "Blowing out the 07 mazda3's for 500 under invoice" and as the 08's are probably on the way I think invoice price or a little lower is more then fair as they robbed everyone else this year by saying limited availability but demand wasn't there(Americas hatred for hatches) and there are left over 07' all over!

If so and you have a trade-in, would that be traded in when you order or when it shows up? I haven't even talked to them yet about what they expect to receive, but since they seem to get a good supply here I may not have to worry about it except for dealers either ordering them with nothing at all or maxing them out. All I want is the autodimming mirror w/out homelink so I may have to order one to get it that way.

I went and looked. Exact same specs as 07. You just go to the build/price one option and they have radio buttons for 2007 or 2008. Exact same specs for both.

I think they still have those 2. I test drove the silver one. The other is black mica right and they're both Sports? I live just around the corner from them but I work up in Temecula. I bought my car in National City though since it was the only place I could find a GT in Cosmic Blue.

Hey Jays07MS3 what was your best trap in the 2g? You have a lot of the same mods I had on my 2g gsx.

Well, I've only taken it to the strip once and it was way back when it didn't have as many mods. All I had done on it was my intake and cat-back exhaust. That was back in 2001. My best run of 5 was 14.74s @ 95.84 mph. Not great but not bad for an almost stock GST.

So did you have the T28 on your GSX? What were you running at the track.

That's not in N America although I don't know what city the HG on the plate stands for. It REALLY looks like it's in Germany and their bumpers don't have the same requirements as here. If they are gonna have the same look it would seem that Mazda is dumping that little black bumper strip that the 3 has up front. This mule also has the non Speed3 spoiler.
