ok this is starting to happen more and more now.. wen i stop and start to accelerate in 1st, ill step on the gas and release the cluthc but the car wont go any ware its like im trying to accelerate in 4th or 5th gear,,, so what i have to do is ride the clutch quite a bit, then the car gets going... i find this very odd... could this mean i need a new clutch?

Yes. The more a clutch wears, the later engagement becomes, and the smaller the window of engagement becomes.

anyone know how much the stock clutch can hold?

Clutch chatter. Your clutch is most likely toast. Replace the clutch and don't forget to machine or replace flywheel.

It'll hold for awhile. Probably not for very long though.

I could feel my clutch starting to slip on the freeway if I'd push it in the higher gears. Looked good when I pulled it out but I know it wouldn't have lasted too much more.

I never dyno'ed until recently, probably around that time I was in the 200whp range. There have been only a few upgrades recently, the big turbo and the MPI other than that it's still the same. I recently dyno'ed 249.

they must be busy...if someone can start on it right away a clutch and flywheel is a one day job.

I had the worst time with my transmission. I couldn't get the axles out of the hub. I had to use an impact hammer and then file down the axles as they had mushroomed. Had I had everything the clutch could have been a few hrs.

You don't need to take the axles out of the hubs. Just disconnect the lower control arms from the spindles. Then just pry the axles out of the tranny.

LOL yeah that's what i did on one side. I was so stuborn to get that axle out too that I put it back and kept at it until it finally popped out.

I was around 40k, my clutch didn't die the LSD did. The clutch was having problems slipping so I replaced it at the same time.

would needing a new clutch give the same impression as no boost? within the past week, my car doesnt seem like its boosting, granted i have no boost gauge anymore(selling car) but it seems like no boost n e more, new clutch maybe? i guess i can only tell if i hook the gauge back up

Can you hear the turbo spooling?

i don't think the clutch would have anything to do with no boost. Only way that would happen clutch-related would be if it's not fully engaged...and if that's the case it would probably sound horrible and stink like something terrible.
